Following on from the Fields of Remembrance kits supplied to Schools and and Early Childhood Centres in 2015 and 2016 children continue to commemorate ANZAC Day.

The Castle Kids Kindergarten in Waikanae Beach made their own crosses and the children painted them.

They made Anzac biscuits and planned their own ANZAC commemoration inviting a member of the RSA to come and talk to them. They also had a bugler sound the last post.

They placed the crosses in the Kindergartens Garden.

Staff report:

"The children were very gentle, proud and serious as they put their crosses (with photos of people who had helped in the war) and the posies they had made in the garden."
