Auckland Field of Remembrance
A Field of Remembrance is established in the Auckland Domain each ANZAC Day. The crosses are provided by the Trust and bear the names of the men of the Auckland Regiments. Every effort has been made to identify Aucklanders who served in other specialist units e.g. the Machine Gunners and include those who served in overseas forces i.e Australian and Great Britain. The numbers have increased progressively each year as the men who died one hundred years ago are added to the Field.
